I’m writing a novel

It’s not the first book I’ve written.

In fact, it’s my sixth full-length novel.

You probably haven’t read any of the books I’ve written — despite the fact they’re available in online bookstores all over the world. One of my titles is even available in Slovenian. How cool is that?

To be brutally honest, though, most people in the world haven’t read my books either.

But, that won’t stop me writing.

For an author writing in several genre, my reading audience is tiny, but it’s growing. I’ve sold just over 20,000 copies from an extensive catalogue of titles since I published my first book in 2013. Might sound impressive, but take it from me, it’s not. The impressive part is writing all those books. Every one of them represents a completed project.

If you’re still dreaming about writing your first book, take heart. Writing the first one is the most challenging but it gets easier after that one. At least, that’s my experience. And, the world of publishing has changed since you took that writing course in college.

Am I making any money from my writing?

Not enough to meet the costs of running a writing business. But, don’t worry, I’m not a starving artist. In fact, like most writers, I’m financially independent of my writing. Mind you, that…
