Transparency brings everything into the light of day

Something is going on. Closed doors are being opened before our eyes.

Transparency leads to change in individuals, institutions, and societies.

Transparency exposes things. It’s uncomfortable for individuals. It shines a light on dubious dealings within institutions, dealings the powerful would prefer we mere mortals knew nothing about. It leads to revolutions where the people decide to challenge the status quo in society.

Personal transparency

Transparency at the personal level involves working with your shadow. In other words, it means confronting those aspects of yourself you don’t want to admit to — all those parts of yourself you want to keep hidden from yourself and from others.

You are transformed by integrating your shadow into your wholeness. You grow by coming to terms with the truth that we are all shades of grey. None of us are all light or all dark.

The benefit of that integration is you can stop pretending and start being authentic. You can be who you really are instead of hiding behind a socially acceptable mask.
